The sentiment and translation is that, Ma, in this whole world and whole wide sky, you’re my only shining star.
Everyone irrespective of age and language feels that way about their mother, so this song is applicable to everyone and I’m sure all can relate with it
Originally I had conceptualised and recorded the song for my mother. The entire time in the recording too I was thinking of my mother; hence the emotions are very pure.
Since this is a very personal emotion I was not sure about releasing the song with this context. I thought we can make a romantic song out of it and show a romantic music video. But in the end I thought it’s best to be authentic. The “Ekti Chandani” (only star) that I’m referring to in the song is my mother itself, and everyone’s mother says Jashan Bhumkar
