Bhubaneswar, May 29: The Higher Education Department has issued a notification regarding admission applications for undergraduate courses for the 2026–27 academic session.
Applications for admission will begin online from May 27 and continue until June 10. The Common Application Form (CAF) will be made available for students on the SAMS portal from 4 PM on Wednesday.
The admission process will be conducted in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Students will be able to choose courses according to their preferences. They may select:
one major subject along with two minor subjects,
or two major subjects,
or three minor subjects.
The first phase merit list will be published on June 17.
Students selected in the first phase must complete their admission in the respective institutions between June 18 and June 20.
After this, the second phase merit list will be released on June 29, and the selected students will complete their admissions between June 30 and July 4.
For spot admissions, students will complete choice locking between July 8 and July 10. The merit list for spot admissions will be published on July 15, and the admission process will be completed by July 17.
The government aims to begin first-year undergraduate classes by July 9.
