District Collector Conducts Detailed Review of Kalimela Health Centre in Malkangiri, Urges Strong Community Participation to Enhance Patient Care and Welfare

Malkangiri, April. 30:: With the aim of strengthening and expediting healthcare services in the district, Malkangiri District Collector Prathamesh Arvind Rajshirkhe visited Kalimela block today.
During his visit, he inspected the Kalimela Community Health Centre and reviewed the treatment and facilities being provided to patients. The Collector toured each ward of the health centre and interacted directly with patients to understand their health conditions and the quality of services they were receiving.
He also held discussions with departmental officials to make healthcare services more patient-friendly. The Collector stated that improving healthcare in remote areas of Malkangiri remains a top priority for the administration. He instructed officials to remain alert and ensure that patients do not face difficulties, especially during the summer season.
On this occasion, an example of social cooperation was also witnessed in strengthening healthcare infrastructure. Demonstrating social responsibility, the District Utkal Journalists’ Association donated five air coolers to the health centre to help patients cope with the heatwave. The Medical Officer of the Community Health Centre received the equipment.
The Collector remarked that when different sections of society voluntarily contribute to public service alongside the government, the effectiveness of service delivery increases significantly.
During the visit, Medical Officer Dinabandhu Mahananda and members of the association were present and discussed ways to further improve healthcare services. The administration appreciated the journalists’ contribution, stating that their support in humanitarian service, beyond news reporting, sets an example for others.
Members including Ashok Mishra, T. Satya Narayan Subuddhi, Sourav Mondal, Jiban Krishna Das, Bidyut Bairagi, Ashish Bain, Chiranjeevi Sarkar, Uttam Ray, and Jagannath Padiami were present at the program.
