Bhubaneswar, April 30: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Odisha Circle has achieved notable success at the national level in the financial year 2025–26 by winning two prestigious awards.
The circle was recognized as the Best Performing Circle and also received an award for outstanding performance in Enterprise Business (Revenue). These awards were presented by Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia.
Under the leadership of Chief General Manager Dushmant Kumar Behera, the Odisha Circle has been performing efficiently in a challenging telecom environment. As BSNL celebrates its Silver Jubilee year, it continues to play a key role in strengthening digital connectivity across the state.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched indigenous 4G stack services from Jharsuguda under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Additionally, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated three saturation mobile towers at Gudgudia in the core area of Similipal Tiger Reserve to further enhance connectivity in remote regions.
To make telecom services more accessible, BSNL has also introduced SIM cards at a nominal cost of ₹1, which is expected to significantly expand telecom reach among the public.
