Bhubaneswar, May 09: Aparajita Sarangi today inaugurated a solar-powered cold drinking water kiosk at Ward-3 of North Bhubaneswar, installed under a joint initiative of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and OREDA.
The initiative has been taken to provide relief to citizens during the upcoming summer season. A total of 42 such solar-based drinking water units are being installed at different locations across Bhubaneswar as part of the project.
The project aims to ensure easy access to safe and chilled drinking water in public places, especially during peak heat conditions, by promoting renewable energy-based infrastructure in the city.
