Koraput: Oct 6 [UDN}:A review meeting on the development of coffee cultivation in Koraput district and improvement of farmers’ livelihoods was held under the chairmanship of the Koraput Collector.
During the meeting, officials held detailed discussions on the current status of coffee cultivation, plantation of coffee saplings, increasing production and strengthening market linkages in the district. The meeting also reviewed measures to further expand coffee cultivation and improve its economic benefits for local farmers.
Special emphasis was laid on providing training, financial assistance and modern agricultural practices to coffee growers to enhance productivity and increase their income. The administration stressed the need for coordinated efforts to strengthen the entire coffee value chain, from plantation and production to marketing, so that coffee cultivation can contribute more significantly to the livelihoods of farmers in Koraput.
