Bengaluru, India, October 04, 2025: Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, today announced the Top 20 finalist teams of the 4th edition of its pan-India innovation competition, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025.
This year’s finalists include bright young innovators from rural India and Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across 12 states, reflecting the programme’s vision of empowering youth to leverage technology to solve community challenges. Notably, the 2025 cohort includes a 14-year-old finalist, an all-girls team, and two teams from the North East—a testament to the programme’s inclusivity and reach.
The finalists are developing breakthrough solutions such as AI-powered tools for the visually impaired to play chess, drone-based imaging systems for pollution mapping, and AI-enabled border surveillance solutions designed to enhance national safety and sustainability.
The teams presented their innovations across four key themes:
-
AI for a Safer, Smarter, and Inclusive Bharat
-
Future of Health, Hygiene, and Well-being in India
-
Environmental Sustainability via Technology
-
Social Change through Sport and Tech: For Education & Better Futures
“Samsung Solve for Tomorrow grows bigger, bolder, and more creative each year, reaching deeper into rural and remote India while advancing Samsung’s vision of democratizing innovation for a smarter Bharat,” said SP Chun, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia. “The Top 20 finalists show how technology, when applied with empathy and context, can transform lives—whether in healthcare, sustainability, or inclusive sports. We’ve seen students harness AI to tackle critical health issues, support the elderly, and empower differently abled individuals, making this year’s competition truly inspiring.”
The 2025 edition received entries from every corner of India, including Cachar (Assam), Banaganapalli (Andhra Pradesh), Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh), Mahabubnagar (Telangana), and Sundargarh (Odisha).
The Top 20 teams emerged from a semi-final phase that brought together 40 shortlisted teams for an experiential Prototyping Programme at IIT Delhi’s state-of-the-art labs. Conducted in collaboration with Samsung Solve for Tomorrow alumni, this phase featured a Residential Innovation Bootcamp followed by a National Pitch Event, where a jury comprising experts from Samsung R&D and Samsung Southwest Asia selected the Top 20 finalists — five from each theme.
The selected teams will now receive one-on-one online mentoring from Samsung experts, FITT, and IIT Delhi professors to refine their prototypes and prepare for the next stage.
