Mumbai, Dec 9: Revenant Esports, India’s leading and fast-growing esports brand, today announced that it has signed Shagufta Iqbal, popularly known as Xyaa, one of India’s most influential gaming creators and a pioneering female voice in esports to its creator line-upShagufta “Xyaa” Iqbal - Revenant Esports

Recognised as the “Queen of the Indian Gaming Community (IGC)”, Xyaa is an IT professional turned esports professional. She hails from Bhubaneswar but is now based in Nagpur. Xyaa is the second female addition in Revenant XSpark in quick succession after Kaashvi Hiranandani.

Xyaa left her cushy job of an IT developer with Capgemini to become full-time esports professional. She was one of India’s first female streamers to leave her impression in narrative-driven gaming content be it Counter Strike or mobile games like BGMI. From playing at local LAN cafés to representing India and securing a top-4 finish at the World Esports Championship 2023 in Riyadh, Xyaa’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring.

Xyaa also represented at HP Omen Event in Los Angeles, USA this year, which was an incredible experience for her. “I got to connect with so many amazing international creators and audiences. Working with HP Omen was really fun too! Seeing new things on global stages really inspired me”, expressed Xyaa.

Her Instagram (@xyaalive) has about 243K followers and on Twitch, she has 12.7K followers. These metrics are a testament to her rising popularity among India’s top gaming influencers. In 2024, she was the only female

from the esports category to be nominated for the prestigious National Creators Award by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Xyaa has attracted major brand partnerships, including global gaming brands such as Intel, Logitech, MSI, and Loco. She has been a consistent fixture across the global events like Acer Predator League in Tokyo and Manila, IEM Sydney, and exclusive previews at Ubisoft studios in Abu Dhabi. She had notable collaborations with H&M for an Animal Crossing campaign featuring Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams and Intel India as their gaming ambassador.
