Rs10 Lakh Compensation Announced for Snakebite Death Case

Bhubaneswar, Nov 24:  The compensation for death due to snakebite may be increased to Rs10 lakh. This information was provided by the Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management. Currently, Rs4 lakh is being given as compensation; an increase to Rs10 lakh has been recommended by Suresh Pujari. Similar compensation will also be provided for death due to lightning strikes and drowning.
