Rayagada: Youth will play a leading role in shaping a developed Odisha and India, said Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Suryabanshi Suraj while attending the annual function of Rayagada Autonomous College as the chief guest. He emphasized that women in India have now become capable of creating their own identity and will not lag behind in leading the new India.
He pointed out that around 65Percent of students in Odisha pursuing higher education are girls. The state government will provide free coaching to 500 students aspiring to appear for the Civil Services Examination. He encouraged more and more students from Rayagada district to participate in the upcoming entrance exams for this initiative.
The Minister urged students not to focus only on securing jobs but also to develop their inner potential and skills. He assured that the state government is committed to strengthening the infrastructure for higher education and sports in Rayagada.
On this occasion, the Minister honored the top-performing students of the college from the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams.
The event was graced by District Collector Parul Patwari, Superintendent of Police Swathi S. Kumar, Chairperson of the Managing Committee and Additional District Magistrate Nihar Ranjan Kahar, and Principal of Rayagada Autonomous College Dr. Saraswati Ray. The program was coordinated by NCC Lieutenant Uday Nayak.
Later, the Minister was escorted from Tejaswi Hotel Square in a grand bike rally to the district BJP office by party workers. BJP district president Gopi Anand, Shiva Shankar Ulaka, Kaliram Majhi, Bapi Panda, Rajat Madala, Manjula Miniaka, and many other BJP workers were also present during the rally.
