Nandahandi, 7th Aug 2025: A youth named Parmananda Saura (35) of Gurujani Guda village under Dhandra Panchayat in Nandahandi block tragically died by drowning in a pond.
According to information received from Tentulikhunti police station officer Pranab Kumar Tudu, Parmananda had gone out for morning defecation on July 23, but did not return home. His family began searching, but he remained untraceable.
This morning, villagers spotted a body floating in a nearby pond. They immediately informed the deceased’s family.
His brother Murali Saura subsequently lodged a written complaint at Tentulikhunti police station. Upon receiving the information, Patraput Forensic Officer K. Ananta visited the site and initiated an investigation.
The body was sent to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination. After completion, it was handed over to the bereaved family.
