Nabarangpur, Dec, 23: A motorcycle accident occurred in Dabugaon police station area of Nabarangpur district, resulting in the death of a young man. A complaint was filed on Tuesday regarding the incident.
According to reports, Keshendra Bhatra (32), a resident of Girla village under Dabugaon police station, had been working as a laborer at a cashew mill. On the evening of 6th December around 6 PM, after finishing his work, he was returning home to Girla village.
Near Kamata Chowk on the Dabugaon-Junapani main road, Gopinath Pujari, a resident of Kamata village, riding his motorcycle (OD 24 E 1783), collided with Keshendra. As a result, Keshendra fell on the road and suffered a head injury.
He was immediately admitted to Dabugaon Community Health Center, but due to the seriousness of his condition, he was transferred to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital. For advanced treatment, he was later admitted to Usha Medical, Jaipur. Despite treatment, Keshendra Bhatra passed away late Monday night.
The deceased’s elder brother, Baliaras Bhatra, reported the matter at Dabugaon police station on Tuesday at 11 AM. Acting on the report, ASI Harihar Bhatra reached the accident site, seized the body, conducted a panchanama (official record), and sent it to Jaipur District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem. After the postmortem, the body was handed over to the family.
