Jeypore, 28th Aug 2025: The 61st Foundation Day of the World Hindu Council was celebrated along with Martyrs’ Day at the local Agra Sen Bhavan. On this occasion, Vedant Kesari Swami Lakshmana Nand Saraswati was remembered for his supreme sacrifice.
The event was graced by Babu Bhai Bajrangi, Regional Vice President of the World Hindu Council, as the chief guest. The program was conducted by Tejaswar Panda, President of the Jeypore District Unit.
Dignitaries on the stage included Kamala Lachhan Vishwal Nilubhai, District Editor of the World Hindu Council, and Bedit Rath, District Vice President. In their addresses, the speakers emphasized the need to strengthen the organization, awaken Hindu values among every family member, and highlighted Swami Lakshmana Nand Saraswati’s life of dedication, sacrifice, and service to Hindu society.
The speakers also stressed the importance of preventing religious conversions, ensuring protection of cows, and the security of major temples, urging the state government to take necessary measures.
The program was attended by other prominent figures including Navakrushna Rath, Jeypore Division Editor; Gangadhar Nayak, District Treasurer; and Shashi Bhushan Das, President of Odisha Amala Sangha, along with hundreds of devotees.
