Nabarangpur: 28th July 2025: A woman from Manigaon village under Dabugaon police station limits in Nabarangpur district reportedly died after consuming an unidentified medicine. A complaint regarding the incident was filed at Dabugaon police station on Monday.
According to available information, 74-year-old Subarna Mangli of Manigaon village consumed some unknown medicine at home on Sunday evening. Her condition deteriorated around 9 p.m. that night. She was rushed in critical condition to the Dabugaon Community Health Centre, where the attending doctor declared her dead.
On Monday morning, her son Ajit Mangli filed a written complaint at Dabugaon police station. Acting on the complaint, Dabugaon ASI Sasmita Das visited the hospital, seized the body, and conducted an inquest. The body was then sent for post-mortem examination.
After the autopsy was completed, the body was handed over to the family. The police have registered an unnatural death case under Dabugaon PS Case No. 20/25 and are investigating the matter.
