Bhubaneswar, Jan, 17: Installation of water tanks and sprinklers made mandatory in sleeper coach buses.
The decision was taken during a meeting between Transport Minister Bibhuti Jena and bus owners’ associations.
Strict compliance with existing rules for sleeper coaches has been directed.
The Minister stated that installing sprinklers will be compulsory.
As per court directives, the rules will be strictly enforced, said the Minister.
Due to frequent fire incidents in AC buses, instructions have been issued to implement these safety norms.
All rules must be complied with by bus owners, the Minister emphasized
