Nabarangpur, Jan, 15: The programme was attended by Gauri Shankar Majhi as the Chief Guest, District Council President Matiram Nayak as the Guest of Honour, Municipality Chairman Kunu Nayak, Lift Irrigation Department Officer Dilip Kumar Das, along with Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers from all 10 blocks of Nabarangpur district.
Information about various government schemes for farmers was shared during the programme. Since 2002, a total of 1,163 Water Panchayats have been formed, providing irrigation water to 23,520 hectares of agricultural land.
At Saraswati Shishu Vidyalaya, students who secured first, second, and third positions in competitions such as irrigation project drawings, speech, and essay writing were awarded prizes by the chief guests.
On this occasion, a large number of farmers from all 10 blocks of the district also participated.
