Puri, 13th Sept 2025: A video of Puri Govardhan Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati, dating back to 2018, has gone viral on social media. In this powerful address delivered during a religious gathering in Kathmandu, Nepal, he predicted that a spiritual and governance-based revolution would emerge from Nepal and that India and the world would learn from it.
Key Highlights from the Viral Speech:
“A Revolution Will Start from Nepal”
He stated that a true and transformative revolution would originate from Nepal and go on to inspire India and the entire world. He emphasized that governance based on Vedic principles would be established, benefitting all and eliminating exploitation.
On Nepal’s Governance:
Addressing the Nepalese Prime Minister, he said,
> “The true ruler of Nepal is Lord Pashupatinath. The governance here should be under His guidance and aligned with Vedic culture and protection of dharma.”
Advisory to Indian Leadership:
He gave advice to India’s then Prime Minister and President, asserting that sanatan Vedic rule, if properly re-established, would remove the need for other governance models worldwide.
Warning to Global Powers:
He issued caution to countries like China, Russia, America, and England, quoting Bhagavata’s seventh canto, where Narada advises Yudhishthira on righteous rule.
On Governance, Wealth, and Dharma:
Misuse of Wealth = Theft:
He strongly stated that any wealth used beyond the needs of clothing, food, Vedic duties, supporting sages and guests, is theft and the individual becomes liable for punishment.
He said:
> “If someone uses wealth only for personal pleasure or remains idle despite being healthy, they too deserve punishment.”
On Leaders’ Duty:
According to him, leaders must use their wealth and power for the benefit of society, not personal luxury.
On Decline of Dharma:
Shankaracharya remarked that the rise of communism was due to neglect in following one’s own dharma.
He blamed the abandonment of Sanatan Vedic values for the spiritual and societal decline, even taking responsibility as a religious leader for this lapse.
He concluded:
> “Had we established the Sanatan Arya Dharma properly, the whole world would have belonged to us, and we to the whole world.”
