Jharigaon  – Despite repeated requests for road construction, the administration has allegedly ignored the demands of the villagers. This complaint has come from Kandhiguda village under Palia Panchayat in Jharigaon Block, Nabarangpur district.

Kandhiguda is an old village inhabited by over a hundred families of the Kandh community. According to the villagers, a murum (gravel) road was built years ago between Kandhiguda and Fufugaon, but its current condition is extremely poor. The situation worsens during the rainy season, causing significant hardship for the villagers.

To reach Fufugaon, they have to take a longer route via Pujariaguda and Palia, increasing the travel distance to approximately 5 kilometers. During the monsoon, even the Kandhiguda-Pujariaguda road becomes muddy and impassable, leaving the villagers stranded.

Despite repeatedly petitioning the administration for road reconstruction, no action has been taken, the villagers claim. Therefore, local residents, including Shukadev Santa, Mahadev Majhi, Krishna Santa, Motiram Santa, former Sarpanch Nilambar Santa, Maheshwar Santa, Saballav Santa, Abhi Santa, Phuldhar Santa, Manohar Santa, and others, have urged the authorities to take immediate action for road construction.
