Jeypore-5th Nov 2025: Around 10 villages under Bagderi Panchayat of Kundra Block in Koraput district have come together today and submitted a petition to the District Collector to bifurcate Bagderi Panchayat and form Dangarpalli as a new Gram Panchayat.
The villagers have submitted the petition at the District Collector’s office. They complained that the Dangarpalli area is located 30 to 40 kilometers away from the Bagderi Panchayat office, making it difficult for government schemes to be implemented properly. This distance also creates difficulties for villagers in accessing pensions, educational facilities, and other government benefits.
Due to the long distance required to submit complaints or proposals regarding village issues, the villagers are dissatisfied. They have formally requested the District Collector to approve the formation of a new Panchayat. The District Collector has assured the villagers that he will forward the matter to the government for consideration, according to the villagers.
