Tentulikhunti: With joint collaboration of the Tentulikhunti Block Agriculture Department, Farmer Empowerment Program, and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, the “Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan” was successfully conducted in six locations of the Tentulikhunti block. These locations included Khatiguda, Janiguda, Pujariguda, Damuguda, Mancha village, and Merei.
During these programs, scientists such as Dr. Shashank Lenka, Dr. Nitish Chandan, Agricultural Engineer Swagatika Mallik, Abhikshit Pradhan, Dr. Paritosh Murmu, Dr. Anirban Pal, seed inspector Amit Mallik, District Agriculture Officer Anil Kumar Praharaj, Protection Officer Rudra Prasanna Mahalik, Senior Scientist Nagesh Barik, Block Agriculture Officer Barun Dhanphul, and DPO of the District Agriculture Office Siddharth Parida actively participated and provided awareness and guidance to the farmers.
In the program held at Khatiguda Panchayat, BJP Mandal President Prashant Nayak also participated. Agricultural scientists, the Block Agriculture Officer, and AEOs provided insights to farmers on latest techniques for Kharif crops, crop selection based on Soil Health Cards, and ensuring the maximum outreach of government schemes to farmers. ATM Bal Govinda Sahu extended support during the session.
In a similar program at Janiguda, agricultural scientists provided advice on modern, scientific methods to increase agricultural productivity. Agricultural Overseer Dhurena Benya coordinated the event. At Pujariguda, the program was conducted by Madhusmita Pati; at Damuguda, ATM Ashish Parida played a key role; Bandita Maharana managed the event in Mancha village, and Jitendra Takri assisted at Merei.
Additionally, advice was provided to encourage integrated farming practices including animal husbandry, fish farming, and water-conserving agriculture to promote self-reliance and agri-entrepreneurship among farmers.
