Baripada,10th Nov 2025: As part of the state-wide observance of Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2, a school-level competition was held today at Maharaja Krushna Chandra Government High School, Baripada. The event featured English and Odia elocution competitions on the theme “Corruption Eradication: Our Collective Responsibility”, along with a cartoon and caption contest on the topic “Anti-Corruption.”
Students from various schools participated enthusiastically. The competitions were organized under the guidance of District Education Officer Purnachandra Sethi with the support of the Vigilance Department, Baripada.
Among those present were Vigilance Inspector Bikash Ranjan Swain, Constable Brajakishore Pattnayak, District Information and Public Relations Officer Bikash Ranjan Mohanty, and District Physical Education Officer Bhagirath Mallik.
Judges for the competitions included Lecturer Samrendra Basa, Retired Headmaster Atul Kumar Parida, Headmasters Govind Chandra Raut and Amitabh Mishra, and Teachers Deepak Ram, Saroj Kumar Mohanty, and Maheshwar Marandi.
In the Odia elocution competition, the winners were:
- Navajit Sasmal (MKC Government High School, Baripada)
- Shraddhasuman Jena (MPK Government Girls’ High School, Baripada)
- Adyasha Das (MPK Government Girls’ High School, Baripada)
- In the English elocution competition, the winners were:
- Jahnavi Padhiari (OVEP, Betanati)
- Prabhupad Nayak (OVEP, Morada)
- Aurjyoti Pradhan (OVEP, Ranibhol)
- In the Cartoon and Caption competition, the winners were:
- Bishnupriya Mohapatra (OVEP, Betanati) – First Prize
- Sanita Singh (Balangi Government Girls’ High School) – Second Prize
- Jyotsna Behera (MPK Government Girls’ High School, Baripada) – Third Prize
- The event was coordinated by Teacher Manoj S. Parida and Office Assistant Prabir A. Behera, among others.
It was announced that the winning students will be felicitated during the district-level event on October 30, as part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations.
