| Nabarangpur, 3rd Nov 2025: On the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, the Nabarangpur District Administration and the Vigilance Department have been organizing various programs from October 27 to November 2, 2025.
On October 27, 2025, during the public grievance hearing at Kosagumuda Block, all attending government officials took the Integrity Pledge under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain.
Similarly, officials and staff members across all blocks, tehsils, district offices, municipalities, and the Sub-Collector’s office also took the Integrity and Honesty Oath.
At the Ashok Meheta Conference Hall, the pledge was administered by Additional District Magistrates (ADMs) Rajesh Biswajit Burman and Tapan Kumar Khuntia, District Information and Public Relations Officer Manoj Behera, along with other officers and employees of the Collectorate.
Throughout the week, various activities such as awareness Gram Sabhas, rallies (padayatras), competitions among school and college students, meetings, and prize distribution ceremonies are being organized in all blocks of the district.
During block-level events, BDOs, Tehsildars, block officials, and Vigilance DSP Jayashree Pradhan have been attending to spread awareness against corruption. Officials emphasized that corruption is a major obstacle to the nation’s economic and social progress, and called for a commitment to honesty, transparency, and a spirit of service to completely eradicate it.
This year’s theme for the campaign is “Preventing Corruption: Our Collective Responsibility.”
On October 28, at the Oswan Hall in Nabarangpur, the District Collector, Additional Collectors, and district-level officers attended a live telecast of the State-Level Vigilance Awareness Week inaugural program held at the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar, where Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi addressed the event. Officials also joined in reciting the Integrity and Transparency Pledge during the program.
On November 1, as part of the district-level Vigilance Awareness Week observance, a public awareness rally will be held, followed by a meeting at the Mission Shakti Conference Hall. During the event, winners of various competitions held among school and college students will be felicitated with awards.
