Maidalpur: A cement chunk suddenly fell from the ceiling while Veterinary Inspector Harekrishna Sahu was working in his office. He narrowly escaped injury in the incident, which occurred today at his workplace.
According to reports, the veterinary office and residential quarters are located under the same roof. The building has become very old, with plaster peeling off the walls and chunks of cement falling from the ceiling from time to time. During the rainy season, water leaks through the roof. Due to a lack of repairs, the building is now in a hazardous condition.
As usual, Mr. Sahu was working in his office when a piece of cement suddenly fell from the ceiling, hitting his ear and head before landing on the table. Fortunately, he escaped with only minor injuries.
Despite the dangers, Mr. Sahu continues to work in this unsafe building due to the lack of an alternative workplace. Concerned locals have demanded immediate action from the district administration to repair the office building and ensure the safety of those working there.
