Nabarangpur:Dec, 30: The District Social Welfare Department organized a program at the District Collector’s Conference Hall, Ashok Meheta, to observe Veer Bal Diwas.
During the event, District Social Welfare Officer Draupadi Kahar welcomed everyone and provided detailed information about the observance of Veer Bal Diwas. The chief guest, Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khutia, emphasized the sacrifice, courage, and patriotism of young heroes and urged the younger generation to develop a sense of love and commitment toward the nation.

In his speech, Suresh Pattnayak highlighted the bravery and sacrifice of two child heroes, Baba Jorabara Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, sons of Guru Gobind Singh, and spoke about their patriotism and ideals, encouraging the youth to draw inspiration from them. He also stressed the importance of teaching patriotism, self-respect, and integrity to students from a young age.
At 12:30 PM, a program was organized at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, to broadcast the live proceedings of Veer Bal Diwas in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In the district, all Anganwadi centers and Utkal Balashram institutions observed Veer Bal Diwas. The event was attended by CDPOs, Super Viziers, Anganwadi workers, One Stop Center staff, and Sakhi program personnel. The program was coordinated by the District Women Empowerment Center.
At the conclusion, Child Program Officer Rama Pattnayak thanked all participants for their involvement.
