Hyderabad: Good news for train travelers! Passengers will soon be able to embark on long journeys in the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Unlike the regular seating coaches, this new Vande Bharat train set is designed with sleeper coaches, offering more comfort for long-distance travel.
The trial run of this train has recently been successfully completed between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. According to the Ministry of Railways, high-speed sleeper trains are becoming a reality in India. The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai completed the construction of India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train set on December 17 last year. After completion, the train was sent to the Kota Division, where it underwent successful testing in the first week of the previous month, covering distances of 30 to 40 km over three days. During these trials, the train achieved impressive speeds of up to 180 km/h.
