Kotpad, 7th Nov 2025: At Kenduguda near Kotpad, the Vaishya (Bihari) families residing in the area celebrated Chhath Puja with great joy and devotion. In the afternoon, at the Damayanti Lake near Champaghat, all the married women and men gathered together to perform the traditional rituals and worship with grandeur and deep spiritual fervor.
As in previous years, this year too, all members of the Vaishya (Bihari) community organized the puja with prayers for the well-being and prosperity of their families and the peace and prosperity of the village. It was also observed that the community members offered prayers for the happiness of their brothers, friends, and relatives living in and around the Kotpad region.
The participants expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the administration’s support, as well as for Ashutosh Mahapatra (Chinu) for his cooperation and excellent arrangements. Members of the Vaishya community also extended special thanks to the Bharat Media Association for their encouragement and presence at the event.
