Malkangiri . 4th Aug 2025: Today, under the leadership of Ashok Mishra, President of the Utkal Journalists’ Association, Malkangiri district, office bearers and members of the association met Shri Somesh Upadhyay, the newly appointed District Collector of Malkangiri, for a formal courtesy visit.
On the occasion, the Collector was felicitated with a traditional stole and flower bouquet as a token of welcome on behalf of the association.
During the meeting, the Collector emphasized the importance of collaboration with journalists for the district’s development. The association drew the Collector’s attention to the lack of air and rail connectivity, as well as the shortage of specialist doctors such as cardiologists and anesthetists in the health sector.
The Collector assured that he would look into these issues seriously and take appropriate action.
