Nabarangpur: On the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the Central Government and the completion of one year of the State Government, a press conference was organized today in Nabarangpur by the District BJP unit, highlighting various achievements in the fields of welfare, service, and good governance.
Union Minister for Commerce, Transport, Mines & Steel Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, along with State Minister for School and Mass Education, Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes Nityananda Gond, attended the event and shared key updates and milestones accomplished in the past year.
Minister Jena highlighted:
The state government has fulfilled all its promises.
Initiatives like Subhadra Yojana, Input Subsidy for Farmers, Opening of Chardham Temples, Antyodaya Dayal Gruha Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat have been successfully implemented.
Increased fund allocation for infrastructure development, including safety, education, health, and connectivity, is transforming Odisha into a progressive state.
In Nabarangpur district, the PM Gati Shakti Bharat Mala Yojana is already operational.
A medical college will soon be established along with railway connectivity.
Special attention is being given to the development of irrigation facilities and eco-tourism in the district.
Minister Nityananda Gond added:
A blood bank is likely to be established at Umarkote in Nabarangpur district.
₹6 crore has been sanctioned for the development of the Shaheed Smruti Minar at Papadahandi, known as “Raktatirtha.”
Construction has started for a bypass road.
₹23 crore has been allocated for setting up a Gaurav Hub.
Grid substations will be established at Umarkote and Raighar.
Funding has been arranged for the construction of seven tribal cultural buildings.
These announcements reflect the governments’ commitment to inclusive development, infrastructure growth, and tribal welfare in Nabarangpur and across Odisha.
