Umerkote: The Modi Cabinet has approved the proposal for “One Nation – One Election.” In relation to this, a brainstorming session was organized to gather public opinion, dispel doubts, and raise awareness among citizens. The program took place at Hotel SS International in Umerkote.
On this occasion, Hon’ble Minister of School and Mass Education, Mr. Nityananda Gond, attended as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests were noted literary figure and senior gynecologist Dr. Surendra Nath Dash, and senior educationist Umesh Chandra.
The topic of the event was “One Nation – One Election,” focused on the Umerkote Assembly Constituency. Other prominent attendees included Rajesh Patnaik, State In-Charge of Bhukta, and Samarendra Jena, Zonal Organizer of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. They not only extended support to the proposal but also shared detailed insights on various related aspects.
Such programs are being conducted across India to build public consensus and create widespread awareness in support of this bill. Intellectuals, social workers, teachers, educators, and businesspersons from all sectors of Umerkote and Raighar blocks participated in the event and shared their valuable opinions.
