Umarkote, 8th Sept 2025: As the sacred birth anniversary of the great Islamic prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), is being celebrated with great reverence and grandeur across the world, the Anjuman Islamiya Committee of Umarkote also observed the occasion with much devotion and festivity.
On this occasion, all Muslim brothers from the Umarkote region participated in a grand procession that began from the Umarkote mosque and paraded around the town. In the evening, a religious sermon session was organized, where religious scholars from within and outside the state delivered inspiring messages about the teachings and values of Islam. This spiritual event continued over two days.
Notably, Maulana Syed Mukhmoor Jami from Bhagalpur, Bihar, attended as the chief guest, and Syed Salim Ali Ashrafi from Malegaon, Maharashtra, participated as the main speaker, both of whom shared insightful discourses on Islamic teachings. Along with them, Maulana Najmi Ahmad Barkati from Umarkote mosque and several Maulanas from the undivided Koraput district were also present, contributing to the success of the program.
The event was organized under the direct supervision of Mohammad Salim Rathore, President of the Umarkote Anjuman Islamiya Committee. Key individuals who assisted in managing the event included:

Finally, students who had excelled in various competitions organized earlier in connection with the event were awarded certificates and trophies by the dignitaries.
