Umarkot, Dec, 15: Umarkot town has received a grant of Rs 11 crore for its development. Today, Minister of Mass Education, Shri Nityananda Gand, performed Bhoomi Pooja (groundbreaking ceremonies) for various projects across different wards.
At the Baba Baidyanath Temple premises in Gulipatna, the following projects were inaugurated:
A welfare hall at a cost of Rs 15 lakh,
A library at Gulipatna Primary School costing Rs 50 lakh,
An auditorium at ME School costing Rs 5 crore,
A theatre mandap at Yuv-3 Dangriguda costing Rs 10 lakh,
DNK Radhakrishna Temple project costing Rs 20 lakh,
Minister Gand’s Dream Project: a tower at Dangriguda hill, costingRs 5.61 crore.
He stated that the construction of these projects, along with beautification and other people-demanded initiatives in the town, will benefit the local population and also positively impact the municipal council.
Additionally, for the Jagannath Temple, Rs 15 lakh has been approved for a welfare hall, and for the development of Mangala Temple, Rs 10 lakh has been sanctioned. Groundbreaking ceremonies for these will be held in the coming days.
