Bhubaneswar, 26th Sept 2025: New low-pressure areas are expected to form on September 25 and October 1. These two systems are likely to bring heavy rainfall across Odisha. A cyclonic circulation is currently active over the north Andaman Sea and along the Myanmar coast. It is expected to move towards the north Bay of Bengal by September 22. By September 25, a low-pressure area is likely to develop over the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, heavy rainfall is expected in many parts of Odisha till September 26. On September 30, another cyclonic circulation may form over the Myanmar coast and Bay of Bengal. This system is likely to intensify and take the form of a low-pressure area by October 1. As a result, light to moderate rainfall is expected across the state on October 1 and 2. This information has been issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
