Umarkot: Two youths riding a motorcycle were thrown onto the roadside after a collision between a pickup van and a bike. The incident occurred near Beheta Hatapada under Umarkote block of Nabarangpur district.
According to reports, a pickup vehicle with registration number OD 24J 6719 was traveling from Umarkote to Raighar. At the same time, Krupasindhu Bhatra and Ramananda Bhatra, two youths from Rengabhati village under Raighar block, were returning home from Umarkote after finishing their work. Near Beheta Hatapada, the pickup driver suddenly turned the vehicle at a bend, leading to a rear-end collision with the motorcycle. As a result, the two youths riding the bike were thrown onto the road and injured.
Upon receiving the news, ASI Pushpalata Sunani from Umarkote police station reached the spot and sent the critically injured biker to Umarkote Sub-Divisional Health Center. As one of them was in serious condition, he was later referred to the District Headquarters Hospital for further treatment.
