Nabarangpur, 12th Sept 2025: The 46th death anniversary of one of Odisha’s great sons, distinguished freedom fighter and former Chief Minister Dr. Sadashiva Shiva Tripathy was observed. The ceremony took place at the local Sadashiva Park, where many prominent personalities, administrative officers, intellectuals, and common citizens paid tribute by offering floral wreaths at the statue of the late Tripathy.
A memorial meeting was held at the Municipal Office premises, where speakers recalled Dr. Tripathy’s immortal talent, unwavering patriotism, ethical ideals, and dedication to public service. They also urged everyone to be inspired by his ideals.
The program included floral offerings and tributes at the statue. Present at the event were Municipal Chairman Kunu Nayak, Executive Officer Dr. Ashok Kumar Karn, the late Tripathy’s heir Kedar Tripathy, Narayan Panda, Dr. Bijay Kumar, Councilor Nagendra Kumar Pattnayak, Lions Club President Jagannath Mahapatra, Vijay Kumar Chaudhury, Jagadish Chandra Tripathy, Jagannath Behera, Pravasini Mahanti, Swarnalata Pattnayak, and many other distinguished guests.
