Nabarangpur: A memorial and tribute meeting was held on the tenth day of mourning for Padma Charan Patra, the founder and chief advisor of the Seemanta Literary Family, at the Trrupti Laddu Sammilani Hall.
Padma Charan Patra, a resident of Nabarangpur, was a guiding force in the fields of literature, music, and culture in the region. Inspired by his vision, the literary magazine Seemanta Patrika was established. He was not only a celebrated flute player but also a skilled violinist, a critic, and a passionate patron of refined culture.
The tribute meeting was presided over by noted social worker Shri Jagannath Maharashtra, who inaugurated the event by lighting a ceremonial lamp. A silent prayer was offered for the peace of the departed soul.
Distinguished individuals such as Ashok Pattnaik, Raghunath Shatapath, Suresh Mishra, Prabhakar Patra, Ram Prasad Patra, Bulu Hota, Manoj Pattnaik, and P. Ravikant Raghuram were present and spoke in praise of Padma Charan Patra’s contributions. He passed away at the age of 90 in Bhawanipatna.
