Nabarangpur: On the fourth day of the district-level development fair, the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Nabarangpur, organized a Tribal Gathering. The event was graced by Biranchi Narayan Dora, Chief Development Officer and CEO of the District Council, who interacted with many tribal beneficiaries and discussed various welfare schemes they had availed.

Rajeev Sahu, Project Administrator of ITDA, provided detailed information on key programs such as the Dharti Aaba Tribal Excellence Rural Campaign, implementation of the Forest Rights Act, and the Chief Minister’s Tribal Livelihood Mission. He also elaborated on land title (RoR) distribution and the objectives behind livelihood enhancement initiatives.

A presentation showcasing the progress under the Chief Minister’s Tribal Livelihood Mission was viewed by the attendees. On this occasion, the District Welfare Department also shared information with tribal students about various education-related schemes designed for their benefit.

One of the main highlights of the program was the distribution of FRA (Forest Rights Act) titles to 223 individual beneficiaries from Jharigaon Block. This marks a significant step toward securing land rights for tribal people.

The gathering also helped raise awareness about the Dharti Aaba Tribal Excellence Rural Campaign, currently being implemented in 536 villages across the district. The campaign aims to ensure that essential documents and entitlements — such as Aadhaar cards, ration cards, Ayushman cards, PM-KISAN benefits, Jan Dhan bank accounts, and caste certificates — are fully provided to eligible tribal households.

Overall, the tribal gathering proved to be a crucial platform for empowering tribal communities and spreading awareness about various government schemes meant for their welfare and upliftment.
