Nabarangpur: On the fourth day of the district-level Vikas Mela, a Tribal Gathering was organized by the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Nabarangpur.
The Chief Guest of the event was District Council Development Officer, Biranchi Narayan Darobana, who attended the program and interacted with many tribal beneficiaries. These individuals have benefited from various schemes under the department.
ITDA Project Administrator Rajeev Sahu shared detailed information during the gathering on key initiatives such as:
National Excellence Rural Campaign
Distribution of Forest Rights Act (FRA) Titles
Chief Minister’s Tribal Livelihood Mission
A PowerPoint presentation on the Chief Minister’s Tribal Livelihood Mission was shown to all attendees.
During the event, the District Welfare Department also educated tribal students about different education-related government schemes.
The highlight of the event was the distribution of Forest Rights Act (FRA) Titles to 223 individual beneficiaries from Jharigaon block—a significant step toward ensuring land rights for the tribal community.
The gathering also raised awareness about the National Excellence Rural Campaign, currently active in 536 villages across the district. The campaign aims to ensure that tribal citizens have complete access to necessary documents and government schemes such as:
Aadhaar Card
Ration Card
Ayushman Card
PM Kisan
Jan Dhan Bank Accounts
Caste Certificates
This Tribal Gathering program has proven to be an important platform for the empowerment of tribal communities and for spreading awareness of government welfare schemes.
