Jeypore, 10th Nov 2025:– The Transport and Fire Departments conducted a fire safety and accident awareness program for local bus owners and employees in Jeypore to ensure safety during travel and prevent accidents.
The program educated participants on the proper use of firefighting equipment. Awareness was also created about identifying fire hazards and how fire-fighting systems operate. Through demonstrations, participants were shown how the fire department responds during emergencies such as fires caused by accidents, falling trees on roads, or other similar situations.
The fire department also showcased the modern equipment available for firefighting through demonstrations. Bus owners were instructed on how to properly handle fire emergencies and the importance of keeping a fire safety kit on board.
The program was attended by Narendra Mahanti, editor of the Jeypore Bus Owners’ Association; Suresh Kumar Barik, Fire Officer of Jeypore; Additional Transport Officer Chandra Kala Nayak; Traffic Inspector Jagannath Darubarm; and other officials from the Transport and Fire Departments.
