Bhubaneswar,: The family of a young girl who lost her life in a “Mo Bus” accident has donated her eyes. The girl, Muni Juadi, was riding her bicycle to buy biscuits when she was hit from behind by a Mo Bus. She died on the spot.
Following the accident, locals staged a four-hour road blockade, demanding the arrest of the driver and compensation. The Mo Bus authorities later paid ₹1 lakh in compensation, and the protest was lifted after assurances of strict action against the driver and staff.
Tragic Incident
On the morning of the accident, Muni was heading to the market on her bicycle to buy flowers and biscuits for worship. She first bought flowers and kept them on her bicycle before heading to buy biscuits. As she was crossing the road, a Mo Bus (Route 54) traveling from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack hit her, dragging her along with her bicycle for 300 meters.
Her parents and relatives rushed to the scene in shock upon hearing the tragic news.
Public Outrage and Protest
Upon learning about Muni’s death, local villagers blocked the road. They stopped all Mo Bus vehicles, shattered glass windows, and burned tires to block both sides of the Nandankanan Road. Authorities later assured them of ₹2 lakh compensation and the driver’s arrest, after which the blockade was lifted.

This is not the first accident involving Mo Bus:
