Pallahara, Trilochan Nayak (59), the headmaster of Rugudi Primary School under Saidha Panchayat in Pallahara police limits, Angul district, tragically passed away on Monday morning while on his way to school. Mr. Nayak, who was commuting from his rented house in Udayapur Sahi to the school, stopped briefly near the Saidha Panchayat office to inquire about the procurement date for his paddy at the mandi (market).
Was Due to Retire in Three Months
While standing there, he suddenly felt unwell and collapsed. Local residents rushed to his aid and admitted him to Pallahara Sub-Divisional Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The late Mr. Nayak was originally from Jolanda village under Saidha Panchayat but lived in Udayapur with his wife and two daughters. He was just three months away from retirement. Known for his dedication, punctuality, and student-centric approach, he was well-regarded in the Pallahara area as a compassionate and soft-spoken educator.
His untimely demise has left the teaching community in deep mourning. Local MLA Ashok Mahanti, Cluster Education Officer Priyabrata Majhi, Assistant Cluster Education Officers Sarangadhar Nayak, Shailendra Singh, Basanta Kumar Shasani, along with numerous teachers, visited the hospital to pay their last respects.
Pallahara police have registered an unnatural death case, conducted an autopsy, and handed over the body to his family.
