Salepur, 18th Oct 2025: Death can come so suddenly. While traveling to Muwak, a teacher was struck by a truck wheel that came out of the vehicle. The teacher narrowly escaped the impact. This incident happened on Tuesday morning. The deceased is Pradeep Kumar Maharana, a teacher at the Dariapur Primary School in the Mirzapur Panchayat of Salepur block. He lived with his family in the local Machhuati area.
According to reports, on Tuesday morning, Pradeep was going to Muwak via the Cuttack-Salepur road near Shishua Bazaar. At that time, a truck wheel came off from a truck traveling on the same road and hit Pradeep’s body. He was seriously injured and fell to the ground. Local people rescued him and admitted him to the Salepur Group Health Center. Due to the critical condition, he was referred to a private hospital in Cuttack. It is reported that he died while undergoing treatment there.
After the news of his death spread, local teachers, educators, and students expressed their grief and condolences.
