Traffic Signal Installed in Umerkote

Umerkote, March, 7:Residents of Umerkote, who had long been struggling with chaotic traffic problems, have finally received some relief. For the first time, a traffic signal has been installed in the middle of the two-lane road at Dangariguda, the main entrance to the town. This has helped bring better control over the movement of vehicles.

According to reports, severe traffic congestion had been occurring at several busy intersections and crowded areas of the town. The issue had drawn attention earlier, and on the 17th of the month news reports highlighted the urgent need for traffic management.

Before this, the town did not have even a single traffic signal post or red light to regulate traffic. Regarding the development, Municipal Executive Officer Alok Kumar Anugulia said that currently one signal has been installed as a beginning. In the coming days, more traffic signals will be installed at other major and congested points of the town.
The initiative taken by the municipality has been widely appreciated by the public.
