Umerkote, Dec, 05:  The tourism season has arrived. The natural beauty of the district is attracting tourists, and the picnic (banabhoji) season has begun. Winter is considered an ideal time for picnics. In the cold weather, people love spending time outdoors with friends or family. At various picnic spots, people are enjoying gatherings with their loved ones.

In the Umerkote region of Nabarangpur district, there are only a few picnic spots, which has increased the demand for available locations. To create more picnic spots, the state government has developed an Eco Park. Located very close to Umerkote, this place is attracting a large number of picnic-goers.

Among the popular picnic destinations is the Bhaskel Dam. Its scenic greenery and surrounding forests create a beautiful atmosphere perfect for picnics. Not only during New Year or picnic season but throughout the year, people visit here for outings. A beautiful park is also being developed here to attract tourists.

For picnic arrangements, 14 new platforms (pindis) are being constructed. The natural beauty around the dam is breathtaking, offering tourists a delightful experience. Spread across nearly 3 acres, a Japanese-style garden and park has been developed, which has now become a major attraction.

Especially during the picnic season, hundreds of tourists gather here. As the New Year approaches, people from various places are enjoying the unique experience of picnicking amidst the winter morning fog and the indescribable beauty of nature in this region.
