Jeypore– In Jeypore block of Koraput district, a strict action was taken against unauthorized advertisement posters being put up on government properties. Today, Jeypore Sub-Collector Ms. Akbaram Sasya Reddy personally removed posters put up illegally on government walls in Jeypore town. She firmly stated that there is no need to spoil the beauty of Jeypore town, and anyone doing so will face strict consequences.
She further said that colleges wishing to advertise do not have the right to do so on public roads without permission. They must first obtain permission from the Jeypore Municipality. The Sub-Collector assured that the colleges will be granted permission within two days if applied for properly. She also emphasized the importance of colleges educating children rather than just advertising.
Currently, LED screens are operational in Jeypore, and colleges interested in advertising can obtain permission for a month upon request, the Sub-Collector added.
The Jeypore Municipality has also taken action, clearing posters from public and intellectual areas in the town. Three colleges have been fined Rs. 10,000 each for illegal poster placement.
Ms. Akbaram Sasya Reddy warned that any unauthorized posters on government walls will lead to strict action, including seizure of the materials if necessary. The Sub-Collector and Jeypore Executive Officer warned that legal action will be taken against violators.
