Third Gender Candidates Eligible to Appear for OCSE–2025, Notifies Odisha Public Service Commission

Bhubaneswar,   Feb, 23:  Candidates from the third gender (transgender/kinnar) category will now be allowed to appear for the Odisha Civil Service Examination (OCSE). In this regard, a revised notification has been issued today by the Odisha Public Service Commission for the OCS Examination–2025.

To provide opportunities to candidates of this category, the registration and application deadlines for the examination have been extended. Earlier, the registration deadline was set to end on the 20th, but it has now been extended up to the 27th. The last date for submission of applications has been fixed as March 7. Candidates belonging to this category have been instructed to upload their identity certificate/card at the time of application.

This notification is expected to help fulfill the dream of third gender candidates who aspire to become administrative officers. The commission has issued a notification to fill 465 Group-B posts. The application process had originally started on January 20. Seats have been reserved for categories such as General, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Women. However, earlier third gender candidates were not given the opportunity to appear for this recruitment examination. With the new notification, they will now be eligible to apply and sit for the exam.
