Temperature Likely to Fall by 2–3°C in Next Three Days

Bhubaneswar, 5th Nov 2025: The Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted that over the next 2–3 days, the night-time minimum temperature in various districts of Odisha is likely to decrease by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. It is further reported that in one or two locations in northern interior Odisha, the minimum temperature has already dropped by nearly 2 degrees.

In some parts of northern interior Odisha, temperatures have been 5–7 degrees higher than normal, while in many coastal and interior areas, temperatures have remained 3–5 degrees above normal. In Koraput, the lowest temperature in the state was 15.4°C.

Within the next 24 hours, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, and some coastal districts may experience light to moderate rainfall at one or two locations, while other districts are expected to remain dry.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area persists over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Myanmar coast. The associated cyclonic circulation extends northwards up to 5.8 km altitude. In the next 48 hours, it is likely to move towards the Myanmar–Bangladesh coast in a north-northwest direction. The meteorological center has indicated that a cyclonic circulation over northern Bangladesh and adjoining areas will continue to influence weather in the region.
