Nayagarh, 26th Aug 2025: The Nayagarh District United Teachers’ Association has strongly opposed the district education department’s move to enforce online attendance without providing the necessary equipment and by threatening to stop teachers’ salaries. The association has warned that they will lay siege to the District Education Office if this continues.
On Sunday, an emergency meeting of the association was held at the Primary Teachers’ Bhawan in Rajbagicha under the chairmanship of convenor Manikeshwar Swain. It was decided that the teachers’ agitation could take an explosive turn in the coming days.
