Bhubaneswar,16th Oct 2025: A teacher who was undergoing treatment in a hospital after being critically injured in a road accident on the 29th of last month has sadly passed away. The deceased has been identified as Satyaranjan Barik, also known as Satya Sir. He was well-known and beloved among B.Ed aspirants on YouTube, where he used to teach.
On the 29th, Satya Sir was hit by an unidentified vehicle not far from the Pandara Chhak area. The collision caused a severe head injury, resulting in heavy bleeding. He fell unconscious on the road and lay there unattended.
Despite many people passing by, no one called 112 or an ambulance. Instead, bystanders were seen taking photos and videos. He remained in that state for nearly half an hour until a PCR (Police Control Room) vehicle happened to pass by, noticed the crowd, and stopped to investigate. The police rescued him and admitted him to a nearby private hospital while informing his family.
Due to the head injury, excessive bleeding had caused clotting in the brain. It’s worth noting that the government has implemented several programs to reduce fatalities from road accidents. Under the Good Samaritan program, individuals who help accident victims receive financial incentives. Had someone informed the police earlier, perhaps Satya Sir’s life could have been saved.
