Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Tata Power Company Limited has released its second-quarter results for the financial year. The company’s revenue stood at ₹15,544.91 crore, compared to ₹5,697.67 crore in the same quarter last year.
The net profit is ₹3,944.10 crore, which is close to the ₹3,262 crore recorded in the previous quarter. This indicates that although profit growth has been limited, the company has maintained operational stability.

Tata Power’s renewable energy division has emerged as a major contributor to the company’s growth. In this quarter, the renewable energy division generated ₹3,613 crore, which is nearly 90% higher than last year’s ₹1,913 crore.

Similarly, the thermal and hydro power segment contributed ₹2,335 crore. The company’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business also remained strong, earning ₹10,935 crore.

Tata Power is continuously focusing on EV charging, rooftop solar, and solar manufacturing-related projects.

During this quarter, Tata Power’s total expenditure stood at ₹14,724 crore. The highest expenses were toward power purchase (₹5,663 crore) and fuel costs (₹4,747 crore). Another ₹1,785 crore was spent under various other expenses.

After adjustments, the company’s profit after tax is ₹1,245.39 crore.
The Earnings Per Share (EPS) stands at ₹2.72, slightly lower than last year’s ₹2.90.
