Kotpad, 19th Sept 2025: As part of Swachh Utsav 2025, a cleanliness campaign titled “Swachhata Hi Seva” was organized today at the Kotpad Notified Area Council (NAC) office. The program was inaugurated by Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, who served as the chief guest for the occasion.
The event aimed to raise awareness and encourage public participation on how Kotpad can remain clean, beautiful, and pollution-free, and how it can continue to rank #1 in cleanliness as it has in the past.
A detailed discussion was held on the improvement of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sanitation in Kotpad. The program was presided over by NAC Chairperson Rao and Executive Officer Kamesh Mahanti.
Among the dignitaries and participants were:
- MLA’s representative Suren Mahanti
- Vice Chairperson M. Santoshi
- All ward members
- Sanitation workers
- Council staff
- Party workers
During the program, under the campaign theme “Swachhata Hi Seva”, cleanliness drives were carried out across:
- Main roads
- Lanes and by-lanes
- Parks
- Temple premises
- School campuses
- And the main Gandhi Chowk area of Kotpad
The need for maintaining cleanliness in these public spaces was highlighted, and immediate solutions for sanitation-related issues were proposed.
This event was part of a larger national and state-level effort to promote community-driven cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
